Dear all,

As we all know, we are collaborating with AWWA Teach Me Services for our Pre-Yep Activity which will be held on 19th Mar. In a nutshell, the Pre-Yep programme which our fellow year 3s have planned for will be a once-off workshop for the AWWA Teach Me clients as well as for all of us who is in this YEP! There would be some meaningful and fun activities during the workshop which we will keep the year 1s and 2s in suspense for now (more information will be given at a later date)!

AWWA Teach Me Services had kindly offered to give us a training session, to teach us how to help/manage clients who have physical disabilities. This training session would be held on 16th March 2011, Wednesday, from 4 - 6 pm.

Please note that this training session is for everyone who is in this yep team! This training will be useful for year 1s who have not covered the module on disability. For year 2s and year 3s, take this as a chance to refresh or recap on what we have learnt on disability. Afterall, we'll be interacting with villagers with disabilities at Cambodia so the skills and knowledge learnt from this training session would be very helpful!

The training venue would be at 9 Lorong Napiri, AWWA Access Building (I.e. AWWA premises).
We will meet at Kovan MRT station on 16th March at 3 pm. We'll just meet at the MRT Control Station alrights?
We'll have to take another bus from there so please don’t be late!! Please help to remind your friends too.

If there's any queries, feel free to contact myself (serwee) or cassie.

Please check your email regarding this and reply your attendance through the email okays!

Thank You!! :D

About Cambodia YEP 2011

Our YEP trip is from 21st March to 3rd April 2011. Our group which consists of 24 members, will be heading to Khmer Village (Cambodia) and Phnom Penh. We plan to bring joy and memories to the villagers; especially people with disabilities. Moreover, geared with our skills and a passion to reach out to communities beyond Singapore, we hope that both our students and the villagers will gain something precious from this trip.
